Outstanding YES Support from NHRA

For the past few years, the National Human Resources Association (NHRA) Orange County Affiliate has been an outstanding philanthropic group that supports Youth Employment Service (YES) as partner.

As an organization, NHRA is “focused on advancing the individual career development, planning and leadership of human resource (HR) professionals.” NHRA takes this a step further by sharing their resource of HR professionals, encouraging its members to volunteer as interviewers and facilitators for the YES program to promote empowerment, confidence, and preparedness in the community’s future workforce ages 16-24.

NHRA actively posts YES volunteer opportunities in monthly Newsletters to support this mission and continues to advertise our cause to its members. To date, NHRA has provided YES an extremely abundant amount of volunteers who have volunteered time in one-on-one mock interviews, resume consulting, and more! Learn more about volunteering for YES here.

Not only does NHRA refer outstanding volunteers who are able to use their expertise and skills to give back, but also continues to support YES financially. NHRA provided YES and with a generous donation of $5,000 in May.

“I want to thank you again for the generosity shown by NHRA to YES last night with the very appreciated and much needed donation gift.  Our partnership with NHRA is extremely precious to us-the promotion support you give us to build awareness of YES, the amazing resource for volunteers and this financial support-each one so valuable.” Janet Randolph

This year, YES has been chosen as one of three organizations that will be supported by the NHRA’s Presidents Charity Social & Silent Auction Night which will take place July 19 from 5:30-8:30pm at the Chuck Jones Gallery in Costa Mesa! It will be a fun event and all the proceeds will directly support YES, Project Access, and Working Wardrobes. The event is open to the public, tickets running $60 for non-members and $50 for members. Purchase tickets or for more information here.
